SATURDAY ENGLISH CLUB STARTS!

Our Saturday Class Program Has Begun!!

Hello everyone,

and welcome to A Star International.

This year marks our twelfth year as an English school here in the lush, green neighborhood of Tomigaya.

At the heart of our main classroom stands a large symbolic tree, inspired by the beautiful trees of nearby Yoyogi Park.
Watched over by this tree, children spend their days immersed in an English-rich environment.

We believe that when children learn a language—even one other than their mother tongue—it should never be something intentionally imposed by adults. Language is best acquired naturally, as part of everyday life.

Guided by this philosophy, we have created a relaxed, home-like space where children can develop natural, conversational “living English,” something that can be difficult to cultivate in Japan.

Children from 18 months through elementary school come together in this shared space, broadening their perspectives and learning how to interact with friends of different ages—nurturing genuine kindness and empathy along the way.

While English learning is an important part of what we do, what matters most is that children in their formative years are able to spend their time happily and in good physical and emotional health.

Our teachers, including a professionally trained psychological counselor, are always attentive to creating a safe and secure environment, offering thoughtful and individualized care to each child.

Through a variety of daily activities, children naturally and joyfully develop their English skills.
We very much look forward to welcoming you.

Let’s enjoy English together!

SCHEDULE

  • Morning Class

    10:00–15:00

This class focuses on building a strong foundation in listening skills.
By spending time together with teachers and friends, children naturally acquire practical English used in everyday life.

Each session also includes a dedicated Circle Time, where children enjoy meaningful interaction with their teacher. Through listening attentively to stories and conversations, they develop concentration, independent thinking, and imagination.

  • Afternoon Class

    14:00–18:00

This class builds on the Morning Class and introduces slightly more advanced and academic content.
Children practice listening and writing, while also exploring a variety of subjects such as Math, Geography, Music, and Dance.

For families who wish their child to attend after kindergarten or nursery school, this class is a suitable option.

  • Elementary

    15:00–18:00 (Fri. 16:00–19:00)

This class is designed for elementary school students.
After building a strong foundation of English input in the Morning and Afternoon Classes, children begin to actively practice English output in the Elementary Class.

In this class, communication is conducted entirely in English.
Children are encouraged to challenge themselves to express their thoughts and intentions confidently in English.

  • Full Day

    10:00–18:00

Full-day reservations are available by combining the Morning and Afternoon Classes.
Elementary school students may also attend on days when school is not in session.

  • New! Saturday English Club

    10:00–14:00

Starting in 2026, we are pleased to offer a new Saturday Class.
Compared to our weekday programs, this class places greater emphasis on enjoying English through play in a relaxed, weekend atmosphere.

Through active experiences such as outdoor lessons and picnics at Yoyogi Park, children have the opportunity to engage with English naturally while moving, exploring, and having fun.
